Farm Girl

I thought I would do a little time line of events with pictures (really I just had a lot of cute pictures so I decided to post it this way!).
Introdution: Jordan and Gary brought the combines to our house today to start harvest! Allie was so excited to RiDe In ThE cOmBiNe!!! We have been talking about riding in the combine with Daddy since last harvest.

3:00pm Allie wakes up from nap asking where the combine is! I tell her Daddy is outside in the combine waiting for you, so we hurry and get her shoes on and she informs me we MuSt have her "rInCeSs LuNcHbOx" (thanks Grandpa, we love it!) so we hurry and pack her some snacks and run out!

3:20ish Still waiting, not seeing the combine moving, just stopped...uh oh!!!

3:30ish Allie wants to wait on the semi, no problem, I thought it would make for a cute picture anyway, and if I must say so myself, I think it did!
3:40ish We see Jordan riding back to the house like so....
....on GrAnDpA's CoMbInE? Find out Jordan is stuck and they need to go get the tractor to pull his combine out. Allie starts to cry, she was all ready with her "rincess lunchbox" packed and farm clothes on.

3:50ish I finally drag Allie in the house and have her convinced they WiLl Be BaCk!!! I decide to have her help me make cookies as a distraction until they get back with the tRaCtOr and the combine pulled out.

Side Note: The distraction worked great and the dough was aWeSoMe!!!
5:00 The CoMbInE is out and ready to go so Allie FiNaLlY gets to ride, Wohoo!!!

6:50 I have to drag Allie out of the combine becasue we have a wedding reception to go to, she was so NoT hApPy about getting out!

8:15 Return home from reception, Jordan is still combining and Allie thinks she must go back out (which of couse is fine by me, I have a sick baby that needed changed, feed, drugged and put to bed!). So back in the CoMbInE she goes!

9:30ish Jordan decides to shut the combine down eArLy (so nice when I have been home all day with a sick baby!) and brings Allie in!

Man writing all this down just maked me tired!
It was such a fun day for Allie and I think I'm safe to say, for Jordan as well! They had some good Daddy-Daughter bonding time! Jordan said she was so good and just sat in her seat and ate her snacks and asked "What's that" and "Why" non-stop!

That's my AlLiE gIrL!!!

The only time I really envy farm life is when I see the Dads able to take their kids out to work. Not a good idea with a husband that works at the prison. :)

Allie is so big already and I've still never met her. :(

That is so cute. It so funny that she loves farm stuff so much. I am sure Jordan just loves that.

London is sick? I wondered where you were Sunday.

How cute! Looks like so much fun for Daddy and Daughter. And I agree with the other comment...it must be nice to be able to do something like that...the most Nate could do was Career Day at school with his patrol car!
