What a Week!!!

I have a good reason for neglecting our blog for so long, I promise! This past week we have had my whole family here visiting, they came for London's blessed which was last Sunday, June 29th and stayed for a week after.

The week started with, like I said London's blessing last Sunday and Allie's Birthday Party. Jordan gave London a beautiful blessing. I made me so grateful for a man who holds the priesthood and reminded me of just how lucky we are to have a righteous priesthood holder in our home. After chuch we had a dinner at our house to celebrate London's special day and then finished the day with a birthday party for Allie. Everyone that came to the party was so generous, Allie was definitly spoiled. It was so nice to have everyone here to celebrate with us.

On Monday everyone floated the river and looked like they had such a great time. I of course couldn't go because of the nursing baby thing but they all said they had a good time. I will be sure to float the river someday after watching them! Monday was also Olivia and Gabrielle's birthday so was had fun opening presents, playing a game and have 2 desserts! Wohoo for that!!!

Tuesday was Ashton day. We started Ashton day with lunch at Big Jud's then we were off to to feed the fish at Warm River and then to Mesa Falls, that place never gets old it is so beautiful. We were then going to go hike Bear Gulch but it was closed due to the tunnel falling in this past winter. So instead of Bear Gulch we headed to Warm River Camp Ground to let the men fish and the kids play in the water. Tuesday was also Sophie's birthday so we ended that day with more presents and dessert! Dessert were Lemon Ricotta cookies which I am now officially in love with.....soooo good!

Wednesday we got a babysitter for the kiddos and the adults were off to the temple! Kacy (my oldest niece) tagged along to watch London and Kannon outside the temple for us. It was such a great experience to be in the temple together again. We haven't all been in the temple together since Jordan and I were married. After the temple we went out to dinner and then the men came back to our house and helped Jordan move pipe.

Thursday we went to Squirrel Creek and roasted hot dogs for lunch and had boat races. Allie won the whole race. We had race heats according to age and then we raced all the winners and Allie took the race, way to go Allie! In Ashton there is a 4th of July Softball Tournament in town that started on the 3rd and finishes on the 4th and Jordan, Kris and I were able to play in that we had 2 games on Thursday night, we won both, go us! Thursday was also my parents 40th wedding anniversary so we had a little candle lit dinner on the deck with the mosquitos for them. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad, 40 years, WOW!!!

Friday was of course the 4th of July and I must admit I was the most nervous for this day. I know and am fully aware that I live in a little hick town, but I have come to accept it for that and love it. I was so nervous to see what my family would think of our silly little parade and park events and fireworks but I think they enjoyed it over all. At least if they didn't they hid it well. We did the parade that morning, lunch in the park and the softball tournament. We finished the day with fireworks at the city ball diamond.

Saturday finished off the week with horse rides then everyone was off for the long trek home.
I am so grateful that my family all made the sacrifice to come out for this special occasion. I know with gas prices and how busy life gets these days it must have been a HUGE sacrifice and I am eternally grateful for them for that. Thanks for coming everyone, let's do it again!!!

Sounds like everyone had a great time! Reading about your week really makes me miss Idaho and all those fun little country activities like floating the river. I'm sure it was great to have all the family together for a whole week and to be able to celebrate all the birthdays, and anniversary, and blessing all together!
