December 11, 2008 having her tubes removed!Allie has her tubes removed yesterday and a patch put over the holes. She was SoOoO good. I cannot even begin to tell you how good she did. They warned us that when the kids come out of anesthesia that will be pretty confused and crying for at least 10-15 minutes after the surgery but Allie NeVeR cried once! What a BiG gIrL!
After listening to the little girl across the hall being totally inconsolable for 30 minutes I was terrified to see what Allie would be like when she came out of it but seriously NeVeR even fused. The recovery nurses said when she first woke us she kind of looked around and they said, "Do you want to see your Mommy and Daddy?" Allie nodded her head and never made another peep. They brought her into us and she kind of just dozed in and out for about an hour then we took her home.

I've been thinking about her, I thought the surgery was today instead of yesterday so forgive me for not saying anything sooner! I have pics of Emma in the same gown at the same age when she was hospitalized with RV. Allie, be well soon and see ya soon!
That is impressive. When Hunter had his surgery last year he was completely freaking out when he woke up!

Awww....good job Allie. It sounds like Mom was pretty much a brave girl too! :)
I can't believe the change in just over a year! She is getting so big. (Not to mention beautiful!) I'm so glad that she did so well. Seeing any child in that particular situation is never easy, (the pic brought tears to my eyes) especially when it's your own, but I know that it does help make things a bit easier when they do so good.
She is too cute! So i just saw the text from the other day. something is up with my phone it didn't ding in! I am bummed i missed y'all. we need to get together after the holidays.
I'm anxious to hear of the changes in Allie now that she's all fixed up! There were real changes in Abby, that's for sure! Me
