London...or should I say Allie gave us a little scare this past Thursday. London had just woken up from her nap and Allie ran in to talk to her and look at her through her crib, she loves that time with just her and London and London always gives her lots of giggles. I thought Allie going in and talking to her would buy me a few seconds of picking up so I continued to pick up the house while listening to them "talk" through the monitor.
After just a minute or so I realized I hadn't heard London "talk" back so I went to go check on her. I found her completely covered in toys and limp and unresponsive. I quickly scooped her up and started screaming her name and gently shaking her. After just a few seconds but what seemed an eternity she came to and started vomiting.
I called her doctor and he said it sounded like a mild concussion. He said to just keep her close for the next 3-4 hours and watch for any more signs (which he listed to me) and if she showed any more signs to take her to the ER for a head CT. Well about 2 seconds after hanging up with him she started vomiting again. I called back and he said he would meet us at the ER.
Long story a little shorter London was just fine. They did a head CT and a chest and abdomen X-ray to check for any foreign objects and everything came back clear. It turns out I just have and extreamly helpful 2 year old and tough little 5 month old!
Things like this sure make you cOuNt YouR bLeSsInGs and we were sure counting ours as we went to bed that night!
